From its conceptualization and inception in 1970, the Environmental Protection Agency has been the focus of vigorous discussions about how the nation approaches the environment. Over the years since its creation, politicians, administrators, scientists, and citizens have offered visions for how the agency could be revamped and re-envisioned. And, after the Trump administration's attempts to undermine or dismantle the agency, there have been calls to restore and rebuild the agency.
